  1. How to push out shortcuts for non default browser using group policy

We are currently switching desktops to use Chrome as the default browser. However I still have 2 legacy websites that still need to use IE. We use Group Policy to push out shortcuts. I set up a shortcut to use IE to open the legacy site but when I push out through GP when it appears on the desktop the default browser forces it to Chrome.

Another option is to use a Pinned site shortcut however I can't figure out how to push a Pinned site shortcut out using GP.

Am I missing something or can this not be done?

    :)

    GROUP POLICIES IN WINDOWS 10

You can change Group Policies by opening Group Policy Editor first. You can open it by following these steps:

    • Log in an administrator account. If you are already logged in as an administrator, proceed to step 2.
    • Press Windows + R to open Run.
    • Type gpedit.msc and press Enter.

After opening Group Policy Editor, you can now make the necessary changes that you want.

Should you have more concerns, feel free to post.

    Regards.
