Windows 10: How to re-register my PC win10 after moving country

Hi. My PC was built in South Africa and WIN10 O/S purchased and installed there three years ago. Me and PC now relocated permanenty living in UK. Can't log into the microft account now because SA use American keyboard so my old password does not work. I have set up new m/s account but the old SA m/soft account is still the default and I can't delete or ammend it because I can't log into it from UK. This is causing issue because Microsoft want to CLOSE the SA microsoft account which the pc and operating system are registered too but I can't log into m/s account to stop. I also need to swap the

Is your PC connected to a domain network?

If your are connected to a domain network and yet facing this issue, I would suggest you to try the following steps and check:

Method1:

First, I would suggest you to try switching your User account from a Microsoft account to a local account and check if the issue persists. Click on 'Settings', click on 'Accounts' and then click on "sign in with a local account' in the "your accounts' section.
Restart the computer and switch back to a Microsoft account and check.

If the issue persists, try these steps and check:

• Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
• Click File > Run New Task
• Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  
• Type Powershell
• Type the following in the Powershell prompt:
  
  $manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest
  
• Close the Powershell window
• Reboot

Try these and let us know the results.

 

Do you register your hardware?

It depends on the part. I would like to register my 4870's, but Sapphire isn't on the damn list for the maker, which is f'n annoying. I registered my PSU and mobo though. It helped move my RMA faster with my last set.

 

Move Win10 pro OS to other computer

I got my activation by following this steps, in case any people wants to try

1. After following steps from Paloma
   
2. In your new PC, go to Settings > System > Activation > Troubleshoot
   
3. Click on 'I changed my hardware recently'
   
4. It prompts you to select the old PC connected through your ms account
   
5. Select and activate it, and you should have your license moved to your new PC
