    How to re-set Paint settings?


    I've been running Windows 10 on an HP laptop I bought 4 months ago, but just recently the Paint application suddenly started working differently from how I want. When I delete sections, it used to be replaced by a secondary color that _I_ got to choose. Now it's replaced by a checked pattern that I have no control over, and it's difficult to get rid of. The image is also centered in the relative middle of the screen instead of fixed at the upper left. Other minor changes keep interrupting my expectations of how the app works, forcing me into work-arounds or corrections. This should be a simple

    Yeah unfortunately ASUS and Realtek are not stepping up and fixing this it seems. Wherever I see such problems mentioned on forums some users are suggesting just uninstalling the Realtek driver and using the Windows audio driver.

    In 3d paint, I request that there be a way to set a default. Or that the last used setting stay.

    It seems to be a default setting the option is always 3D, you can try Windows+i> Applications> find Paint 3D in list> Advanced options> Restore. If it doesn't, this is really a default option, and you can use Windows+F to send your feedback to the developers, giving your suggestion, as I mentioned earlier.

    Photos are opening with Paint instead of Photos app

    It's likely that your default application for opening photos is Paint. To change your default program in Windows 10 from
    Paint to the Photo app, we suggest that you perform the following steps:

    • On the Start menu, select Settings.
    • Go to System, then go to Default apps.
    • Select Photos or any app that you like to be the default under
      Photo viewer.
