How to read radio stream url metadata like ESP32 audio extension

I have created a simple ESP32 internet radio app that plays a selected URL and displays the station name when I change URLs. The song titles are displayed each time a new song starts. Several variations of this code were posted on Youtube by others if interested. The microcontroller uses an ESP32 audio extension to parse the incoming metadata from the streaming headers. How should I do this using Windows 11 system? I would like to port the ESP32 application to Windows 11 and maybe enhance the displayed information to take advantage of windows and display size uses the windows audio inft

    :)

Cannot edit any metadata in audio and video files

I'm running Windows 10, fully updated. All of a sudden and for no apparent reason, I'm unable to update any metadata/tags for audio and video files. Haven't tried to update metadata for other types of files.

It's very important to me to be able to edit the metadata/tags on audio files so that my 14,000+ audio files organize correctly for playlists, etc., and I like proper metadata on video files as good practice.

Audio files are largely .mp3, and video files are either .mp4 or .wmv.

I have tried Properties > Details on individual files in File Explorer and several tag/metadata editors that have worked great for years. Some tag editors will show the metadata/tags it allegedly saved, but when I go back to File Explorer
they're not there. I have also ensured that the same metadata/tag categories I edited in tag editors display in File Explorer.

I've also tried some suggestions from forums:

    • Making sure proper permissions are granted
    • Ensuring I'm signed in to Microsoft
    • Copying a file and trying to edit the copy's metadata/tags
    • Copying the files to new and existing other folders and trying to edit
    • Ensuring the files are not read-only

Any ideas on what could have made the metadata/tags uneditable all of a sudden, and more importantly how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Lost audio from online radio streams

The only streaming radio that I can hear is via the BBC Radio website - that works fine !

Any attempt to listen to any other radio station via their "Listen Live" button fails with no audio ..... and no error messages. I have also tried several online radio apps and they don't work either. I have checked Event Logs and no clues. All other audio including MP3 and You-Tube works fine.

I haven't changed anything to coincide with this and I have been able to listen to online audio for years up to this point.

    Any help appreciated.

How to read radio stream url metadata like ESP32 audio extension

Cannot Maintain Audio Stream From Radio Stations

Just bought a new Dell Windows 10 desktop. I often open a browser tab for a radio station and select "listen live" to start audio streaming. If the streaming occurs in a new browser tab, the stream will stop every
10 minutes or so and then start up again. Even more annoying, if several other browser tabs with streaming are open, but not steaming, all the audio streams start playing simultaneously! I have to then shut down the unwanted streams. Interestingly, if the
audio is streaming in the background, whatever window I'm working with when this happens also stops and indicates "no internet." I have 100Mbs Fios so it's not a bandwidth issue and I do this all the time in the Windows 7 computer with no issue. Happens in
both Edge and Chrome. So it is a Windows 10 problem. This problem does NOT occur if the streaming occurs in a new window or in the same browser tab as the radio station website. It ONLY happens if the audio player opens in a new browser tab. Is there a
buffering problem in Windows 10? This behavior is very annoying. How do I fix this?
