Windows 10: How to recover a new Microsoft Account which is connected with an HP laptop, having...

My friend bought a new HP Laptop the other day. She forgot her password in just a day, and she didn't even set up a Microsoft Authenticator or recovery email/phone number. Now she is unable to reset her password as there is no recovery way possible. We tried filling the account recovery form multiple times for 3-4 days but of no use. Now she is stuck with an account which she can neither log in/log out cause the Windows license is linked to this account. Microsoft Support is pretty poor as I am not able to connect with any support person in any way to get help. Also, we tried to contact HP sup

HP Connected Remote is an app that comes preinstalled on select Windows HP computers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it resolves this issue.

• On the Windows 10 Start screen, type hp connected remote.
• Click HP Connected Remote from the Apps search results.
• Click Settings, and make sure Enable HP Connected Remote is turned On.

Should my Microsoft Account have administrator privileges?

I just finished reinstalling Windows 10 (Creator version) and decided to have the installation process create a Microsoft Account instead of bypassing that step like I have on other laptops in the past and creating a local account later. After the install I went to Accounts in the settings and saw that the Microsoft Account was listed as an Administrator. I always thought the main user should only have standard privs for security purposes. Thoughts? Should I create a new admin account and try and change the MSA to a standard account?

 

Can't recover password to old account for new laptop

I bought a new dell, didn't like it, using old laptop. Bought new printer, won't connect to old (10 years) laptop. Tried to use new laptop and can't remember pin or Microsoft password. Made new account on Microsoft, can not recover old password to get into new laptop!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I've exceeded requests for recover. I can not remember any of the old passwords that I might of used!!!!!!!!!!!!HELP
