Recover BitLocker key from Key ID

It doesn't work. The specific device I need to recover the key is not on the list, neither an option to retrieve the BitLocker code using its Key ID as the blue screen says.

 

How to find account associated with a Bitlocker Recovery Key

My daughter's very old ThinkPad died (likely a motherboard issue), and so I bought her a new one. The old PC won't start at all, so I removed the NVMe drive and popped it into an enclosure so that we could recover her files.

Unfortunately, it is asking for a Microsoft Bitlocker Recovery Key.

She has no memory of ever getting a key. She logged into her Microsoft account, and there are no devices with Bitlocker Keys associated with her account. I checked my own Microsoft account. Same thing. We guessed that it might have been associated with her old university account, so we contacted the university IT department and they said no -- that would not have ever been the case. Either way, that university account has been deleted.

I do have the Bitlocker Key ID that shows up when it asked for the Bitlocker Key. Is there any way for me to find out from Microsoft what account this Key ID is associated with?

Remove "Work and School Account" associated with same email as Personal account

I repeatedly receive a login request when trying to access shared files or my OneNote account that tells me I have two accounts with the same email address:

"It looks like this email is used with more than one account from Microsoft. Which one do you want to use? Work or school account/Personal account"

I do not want to rename my personal Microsoft account. I would prefer to delete the Work or school account. However, when I go into settings, it does not even appear as an existent account. And, when I try to reset a password for the Work and school account,
I receive the following message: "The user ID you entered does not exist."

So, is there a way to remove this account that appears not to exist so that I can use OneNote and receive shared documents without interference on both my laptop and my phone?
