Windows 10: How to recover data from sudden D drive corruption?

I'm running the latest update of Windows 10. I have two NVME drives installed in my PC; a C drive for Windows, and a D drive for large personal files.When I started my PC this morning, it told me that Windows needed to "fix errors" on one of my drives, but wouldn't tell me which one.When I clicked on the notification, it took me to "Security and Maintenance" which had a button labelled "Check Disk."Clicking the button did nothing, so I rebooted the machine in case Windows was mistaken about detecting the error.After I rebooted, I checked the properties of both drives in my system to see what w

How to recover data from corrupted WD external hardisk

Hi...

I have Western Digital Passport 1 TB external Hard disk. It has got corrupted. When I connect to my Window 7 machine, my external hard disk rotates but my machine does not recognize it.I have checked External hard disk with other working cable as well but still it is not working . I have tried to recover data with Hiren boot cd ,. On hiren boot machine it is recognizing the disk. I can copy some data in form of dd format with data rescue but not able to recover data with this DD format file. I have used different softwares to recover dd file but all are giving error. Please suggest how can i recover my data.

Does not work on a windows pc which is what the OP probably intended

windows by default does not have HFS and HFS+ based hard drives.
Able to perform retrieval on both HFS and HFS+ based hard drives. and so will not work with windows
