  1. How to recover files from Local Disk G:

I have been unknowingly saving important files onto Local Disk G:. I have always been able to access this drive. I recently unplugged my computer and plugged it back in and now Local Disk G: is gone. How can I recover all the files I had saved on this drive? Do they still exist on my desktop anywhere?

    :)

  2. Recovering Local Disk

Thank you for your quick response.

It could be a compatibility issue with the latest update and your local disk. We suggest updating your disk driver. Follow these steps:

    • On the Start, type Device Manager.
    • Locate and select Disk drives.
    • Right-click on your disk drive, select Properties.
    • Go to the Driver tab and choose Update Driver.
    • Once done, click OK.

Update us with the outcome so we can provide further assistance.

  4. How to recover files from Local Disk G:

    Local disk G

    Hi mjking,

Open a command prompt with administrator rights and enter the following sequence of commands:

    diskpart.

    list disk.

select disk {number} eg. select disk 0

    disk partition

    select disk partition {number}

    clean

    that's it

when you open the command prompt and write diskpart than other command window will open than follow the sequence and identify local disk G with disk space comparison when you see diffrent disk partition and finally delete it .

try it and i am here to help you if not solved.
