Windows 10: how to recover the passkeys after resetting the pc

I had reset my windows 11 pc and now i have a problem using passkeys, i forgot my google account password and it prompts me to use the passkeys but it seems the passkeys aren't there in the pc anymore, is there any way to recover those passkeys into my pc or are they lost forever ?

Passkey disappeared after changing PIN

I recently started using the Hello passkey feature to use a PIN to log-in to my HP Probook, Windows 11 Pro, and to log into one specific app that requires a passkey. It worked fine until I decided to change my PIN to make it longer.

After changing my PIN, the app I need to log in to stopped showing the option to use Hello to sign in (it only offers me the choices of mobile or USB passkeys - same thing when just now I tried to log into this Microsoft site with a passkey, didn't show the option of Windows).

And looking under passkey settings in Windows, it says I have no saved passkeys.

(I've seen in the help docs here that the Windows login itself should appear on the passkey, list...? But I don't even see that.)

Any way to recover this? The passkey would've been stored locally on my PC...? Can I find that file?

I was not signed into Microsoft ever on this PC. But I hope they don't just delete all passkeys because of a simple PIN change....?

 

If I do a network reset will that change the network passkey back to default?

Performing a network reset will clear your current cellular and Wi-Fi network settings, including saved networks, Wi-Fi passwords, and VPN settings.
Resetting will disable and then reinstall all your network adapters and set other networking components back to their original settings. You’ll even have to run through the questions you saw when you first installed Windows where you select whether you
want your PC to be discoverable on the network. This will not reset your Wi-Fi passkey since network reset only involves your Windows 10 machine.

If you'd like to reset your network passkey back to the default passkey on your modem's sticker, we suggest that you reach out to your internet provider to perform a hard reset or access the modem's settings to change the passkey.

Previous PC died, got a new one...now my passkeys won't work.

My PC died, had to junk it it was old. Bought a new one. Now, all my previous passkeys wont work and do not show up in the passkeys listed in settings. How do I fix this? Is there a way to delete the old passkeys even if I dont have access to the old PC?

please help
