    Hi All,am looking for assistance to redirect whoever typing alias name that need to go to specific page in IIS, \for example.we are having abc.abc.com application, we configured default page also. but if anybody typed qwe.abc.com it also open the default page, that we don't need. it suppose to open another page, how we can achieve this.i have server 2019.looking for your kind advice.

    IIS 7.5 redirect question

    I am trying to do a redirect of a URL for a AS2 link using IIS 7.5. After I setup the redirect for the site to the new site and send AS2 data to the link I am getting a 302 redirect error. When I copy the old URL to my browser (Firefox) and send it everything
    works fine and the new url code gives a error for unknown user as it should since no AS2 data was posted.

    Does the IIS redirect only work with plain URLs?

    If not, what could be causing the sending of the url with data be giving the 302 Redirect error?

    Hello everyone,

    I need help with configuring the Web Server. Imagine having two servers and Windows Server 2016 Deskstop Experience installed on both.
    Server A with IP address 10.0.0.1 has AD and DNS installed, domain is
    somedomain.com . Server B with IP address 10.0.0.2 needs to have a web server (IIS) on port 8888 / TCP and I need to create alias www.
    So when I type in www.somedomain.com in my web browser, I can get my website.
    Am I doing alias on server A, since DNS is installed on this server, or do I have to somehow add server B to DNS Manager?
    I tried to do nslookup on server B, does it see alias www on server A but it doesn't.
    I'm doing all this for the server configuration exercise.
    Every help is welcome How to Redirect Server 2019 IIS alias name to specific page in IIS :)
