Windows 10: How to reduce size of mp4 files for email attachment?

Am downloading video files - MP4 - up to 15mb trying to send to contacts as email attachments.

Some contacts can playback but others are unable to open the files.

Need app to reduce size of these files so that all contacts can see them.

Information on MS apps that will enable this.

Good afternoon,

I am searching for the old Windows 7 function of emailing photos which automatically opened a new email in Outlook and reduced the size of photos as attachments. However, I can no longer see that function in Windows 10 photos app on my desktop computer.

Could you please advise how to substantially reduce the file size of photos to send via email as per Windows 7 function. Please note I do not want to manipulate originals and save copies nor
reduce the size of the original photos but instead reduce the megabyte properties of the originals for one off email attachments.

Hi Dave,

I have done as you have suggested as I am on a deadline and really needed to send these photos. However, this is a cumbersome way of sending photos with reduced file size. What was once a simple click, instantly linking the photo attachment to Outlook
in a small size is now an extended editing exercise, increasing storage files. A really unnecessary and complicated process.

Microsoft - please bring back the simple photo manager method for emailing through Outlook from Windows 7. New innovations are not always user friendly and complicating an easy task is certainly not an inventive or intelligent way forward.

Windows 10 no longer automatically reduces the size of a photo to attach in an email. WHY

I have windows 10 and after a recent update, the computer appears to have 'lost the ability' to reduce the size of a photo and attach it to an email: I will explain-

When I wanted to easily reduce the size of a photo, using the mouse curser to highlight the photo, I would right click and choose to email that photo to myself. The outlook would open a new email and automatically attached was
the photo I had chosen but in a vastly reduced size.

This process allowed me to then insert smaller file sized photos into a word doc.

Why is this?
