Windows 10: How to regain access to camera to use Windows Hello

Windows Hello Facial Recognition no longer functional. All was working well until 3 days ago when I added Skype. I must have inadvertently changed something as: After clicking on "Settings/Bluetooth and devices/Cameras", the response is "No Cameras Found"Can you please assist?

• no, the screen just blinks and a tone sounds and nothing else happens.

• Did you notice any system setting changes prior to the issue?
• I noticed changes after I did the windows updates.

• What is the Version and OS Build of your Windows 10 laptop? You can verify this information by clicking the Startbutton, type winver, and then press Enter.

• The Version is 1709 and the OS Build is 16299.192

I checked the driver for updated and it was fine. But when I did the windows updated something went wrong and it was suggested that I uninstall the updateds, I did. when I restarted my pc I reactivated the windows Hello and it worked. I shut the computer
off and then turned it back on to make sure it worked and it did...But when I reinstalled the updates it stopped working again, a message saying camera cannot be activated, or something like that, shows and I have to use my pin.

I still think it is a software problem.
