Windows 10: How to reinstall Microsoft Mail app to my Windows 10 PC

In an effort to fix a problem with my Yahoo email i.e. html gibberish in some messages I uninstalled the Windows Mail App through the Apps & Features option. I thought I could then simply reinstall the Mail app but this has proved impossible. I go to the Microsoft App Store and select Mail and Calendar. I hit GET. A screen pops up with blue, swirling circles for a few seconds and then goes blank white. Nothing else happens. I've spent hours researching and trying to fix this myself without success. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Reinstalling Windows 10 to sell a PC - is the 'Remove everything' option enough?

Restore factory settings do list Removes your personal files, apps and settings, and reinstalls the version of Windows that came on this PC.

So if this isn't true well than just erase the drive and install a clean Windows 10 with all the drivers u need but why should it be true

• On Start menu, search for Windows PowerShell, right-click the result and select Run as administrator.
• Open PowerShell as admin.
• Type the following command on PowerShell:

• To complete the process, please restart your device.

Reinstall Mail app on Windows 10

• Launch the Windows Store.
• Search for "Mail and Calendar"
• On the result, click the app.
• To reinstall the app, click "Install".
• Once done, search for Mail app on the Start
  menu.
