Windows 10: How to reinstall my Wd My passport to desktop computer

How can I re-install Wd My Passport to my desktop computer. Recently I had to get a new computer, when I plugged in my passport for the first time, I hit the option to see what was on the disk? I was supposed to hit install. So now I am not able to back up my pictures?

Can't access files restored from wd passport

I have looked at the numerous inquiries on this subject. Most are old and the suggestions do not coincide with the menu selections. So, I will try this.

• New computer HP pavillion
• Windows 10
• Backup files stored on wd passport
• restored the files to the new pc
• can't view, access,
• message that I don't have permission
• tried to change permission
• did not work

Let’s try installing the WD passport driver in compatibility mode and check if this helps. I suggest you to install the drivers supplied by the manufacturer any disc or USB which came along with the WD passport drive.

• 
  Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select Properties.
  
• 
  Select Compatibility tab.
  
• 
  Check Run this program in Compatibility mode.
  
• 
  Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

WD passport Not recognize

i have hp pavilion dv5 notebook pc, & it d foes not recognize my

WD passport, it shows the driver, & it says that it's working ok, go to my computer & it shows

disk F, disk G disk C, but it does not shoe a letter for my WD passport,
