  1. How to reject isolate a particular Windows 10 update - in this case 202H

I am running a Windows 10, 64 Bit system version 1909 with no issues at all - until I go to download and install the 20 2H features update. I've now tried, unsuccessfully so, to download the 202H features update at least 8 times over the past two months. In the past it was an optional download, but now - all of a sudden - it showed up in my regular Windows update window. So yesterday I allowed it to download and install seeming to take forever to do so, thinking that maybe this time it will work.

The problem arises when the PC reboots for the third time during the install process. With the first two reboots, the installation process seems to be going along smoothly, getting up to around the 48-50% completion mark. Then, it will reboot for the 3rd time and that is where the hang-up occurs. Instead of the standard reboot windows, the screen is blank - almost like a light "rust" color - at which time the indicator comes up showing,"Undoing Changes made to your computer," and then it reboots back to my Windows where it was before. No matter what I've tried, frequenting various forums, getting advice on what to look for, nothing has worked.

Do NOTE - Regular windows 10 updates install and function just fine. It's just this 20 2H version.

But now the 20 2H features update wants to constantly download when I do a windows update, because it's in the main window now.

    So my questions are:

    1. What could be causing this since all the other regular Windows updates work just fine, and...

    2. How can I prevent isolate the 20 2H update from downloading, while not affecting other Windows 10 updates from occurring.

Right now I have Windows 10 Update paused so nothing downloads.

Thanks for providing any answers that you feel may be relevant.

  2. Win10 updates

The initial one was KB3035583 to get the Get Windows 10 app (GWX). Though that particular update is probably pages upon dozens of pages down the list by now.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

How to reject isolate a particular Windows 10 update - in this case 202H

Looking for a particular web site ?

I remember seeing this here but i can't find it using the search thingy.

A guy posted a web site that had a comprensive list of all Windows update 32&64. I used to have it in my favorites before i formatted my HD.

    Does someone know it?

They suggested a sticky for it but they never did.
