Windows 10: How to remap spanish letter "ñ" to "~"

    How to remap spanish letter "ñ" to "~"


    I bought a computer with Spanish keyboard layout. However I am Portuguese and we don't use letter "ñ". On the other side, we use "~" char a lot. But in this layout, the "~" char is on ALT GR + 4 which isn't convenient at all. I thought remaping those keys would be easy but it's proving the opposite. I've tried powertoys but the "~" doesn't appear as an option to select on windows Spanish keyboard. I've tried also a third party software - Sharpkeys - but on the other way arround the letter "ñ" isn't an option there. I've read about doing this remap directly on regedit but that requires having

    Hi Manuel,

    I suggest you to try the steps below to install Spanish language pack and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows + I key.
    • Go to Time & Language.
    • Click on Region & language.
    • Click on Add a language.
    • Search Spanish and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Hi Raju.123, to type the Spanish accents, you need to use Alt codes on your Keyboard

    For Example tilda N - Ñ is ALT + 165, then release the Alt key
