Windows 10: How to remove a Dvorak keyboard on a Windows 10 system.

im just trying to play games and chat with friends and i switch to it when i never even wanted it plz tell me how to remove it it doesn't show up in language in settings

Pavan,

Made a slight modification to your procedure as given above, and it worked for me.

First, in your step 5, my system only showed me the standard English keyboard I wanted to keep. There was no sign of the Dvorak keyboard.

Only after clicking on the standard English keyboard was I presented with the two keyboards I had installed; the standard English and the Dvorak keyboards.

Clicking on the Dvorak keyboard, I was presented with the choice to delete it, which I did.

Thank you for your help in getting me into the right neighborhood, but it took the extra step of clicking on the standard English keyboard before I had access to the Dvorak keyboard.

We can disable the dvorak keyboard from region and language settings for keyboard layouts. To do this follow the steps given below:

1. Click on start button.

2. Select settings.

3. Tap or click on Time and Language.

4. Select Region and Language.

5. Under Languages you can uncheck the language which is not needed (English Dvorak keyboard).

6. Remove the existing keyboard from the list.

7. And select the one which you want to enable from the list.

With "new user", keyboard changed to Dvorak

Be sure that you have first removed Dvorak keyboard from your own user account. Tutorial: Add or Remove Keyboard Layouts in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

In step 4, check that Current user (yellow highlight in below screenshot) shows correct keyboard (input language). It is OK if New user accounts (blue highlight) still shows Dvorak, it shows the current setting. It will be changed to your US as soon as you select Copy your current settings > New user accounts on bottom of the prompt, and click OK.
