  1. How to remove a folder that is being "used by system"

I know you shouldn't remove system folders, but in my case it is different, so, I recently installed the xbox gaming app on the C: Drive, but I chose to install the games in the E: drive, and for that I needed to change the apps instalation location which I had in drive C: and changed to drive E: , the problem now is, I wanted E: to be a clean drive with my own organized folders, but this ended up creating 4 new folders which 3 of them are considered system folders, even though they are empty because I canceled the game's instalation. Now I can't remove them, does anyone know what to do?

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

    • I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

    • Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.
That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

    Folder Permissions Remove System

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Let me answer your query on Windows 10.

Please be informed that you cannot remove the system entry, However you can add/remove permission for a particular user.

The Group or user name section lists all the accounts on the computer. If you want to prevent a user to accessing the folder, you may deny/remove all permission for that particular user.

The system account and the administrator account (Administrators group) have the same file privileges, but they have different functions. The system account is used by the operating system and by services that run under Windows.

I suggest you not to remove permissions for SYSTEM entry.

Hope the information helps, do reply if you need further assistance.

    Thank you.
