Windows 10: How to remove a Microsoft Account I have no access to from my Windows 10 installation?

A friend recently gave me his PC system, it has a valid and running WIN 10 installation on it. However, neither I or my friend have access to the Microsoft account he used to set up the PC with. We just have the PIN to be used at boot up on Windows. How do I now remove this MS account from my installation? We don't have the password for the MS account.To be clear, there is no way for him to get it back because he doesn't have access to the email he used to set up the MS account with. And there is no way to get it back. So any suggestions about password recovery or phone numbers or anything of

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
