Windows 10: How to remove a person completely from my laptop

A month ago I bought a new laptop, but I was away when the person at the store was doing the initial setup, so my mother set had it set up under her name. I was told that I would be able to change this once I logged into my Microsoft account, so I did, and for the most part it worked - my login username did change to my name. However, when I looked at the location names of my files, it showed my mother's name, as such: C:/users/my mother's name. She's not registered as a user so I can't simply remove her "account" I am the registered as the local administrator of the laptop, so why is it still displaying her name then, and how do I change it?

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Laptop problem: Black vertical "sidebar" [Update]

I will try that... do you think I have complete access to replace the monitor cable without dismantling the laptop from step 1? *Eek!
