Windows 10: How to remove all registry/driver reference to an Epson Artisan 1430 for a clean driver...

I changed the PW to my wireless router and then changed the PW on all my devices that connected to the network. All but one device accepted the change. My Epson Artisan 1430 wireless printer did not re-connect on just one of my laptops (Lenovo Yoga 900), however, 3 of 4 laptops did reconnect to the wireless printer.


I re-installed the drivers on the Yoga 900 laptop by (1) connecting via a USB cable to the printer and (2) connect to the wireless network with the USB cable connected to my laptop as a new install of the drivers. The USB printer driver works, but the wireless doesn't on the Yoga laptop. The Epson installer says everything was completed, but wireless printing a test page never sends to the printer. It worked fine before changing the network PW.


So I'm guessing there is some remnant entry in the registry pointing to the wrong port or a driver that is not deleted when I uninstall the printer. How can I get a clean printer driver install? Or, how do I share the Artisan 1430 wireless printer with the Yoga 900 from one of the other 3 laptops that is printing? I've tried sharing, but it isn't working either.

After many trials, it turns out the Epson Network Utility (Epson Artisan 835 | Artisan Series | All-In-Ones | Printers | Support | Epson US) needed to be reinstalled. Once complete everything worked fine. Thx!

 

A driver cleaner tool for IGP???

good question. i assumed Driver Sweeper did IGP as well, guess not. Perhaps you should try to do a manual clean up. Try erocker's guide for driver cleaning:

I personally clean the registry with registry cleaning tools after uninstalling via Add/Remove and then do what erocker suggested. In you case minus Driver Sweeper.

 

epson printer driver not installing

My Epson R300 was detected automatically by W7, didn't need to install any extra drivers, W7 had them already (although that may be because its an old printer, depends how new yours is). I'd try removing the epson software, plugging in the printer and uninstall through Device Manager (selecting remove software). Reboot and see if its useable then.
