Windows 10: How to remove duplicate folders from SharePoint sync

When sync'ing with SharePoint the sync starts normally.However, over time our staff are find sync Folder 1 and sync Folder 2 are appearing.I can replicate this in SharePoint sync by stopping the sync and starting again and answering NO when asked to use the existing folder.This is not what the users have done, it appears though that SharePoint syncOne Drive has decided to start againSo far we have had on staff member delete this folder on her laptop, and we had to restore the site documents.My testing/reading is not showing an easy way to reset this without resetting the entire profile.

Is there Microsoft 365 solution to list duplicate files in Window 10?

They were created as workaround to older version of OneDrive Backup when

1. Empty folders for OneDrive Backup
   
   1. cannot be skipped
      
   2. counted in maximum number of items allowed.
      
2. Workaround was to RoboCopy mirror them
   
   1. somewhere else for OneDrive Backup
      
   2. causing duplicate files
      

Now, OneDrive Backup improve and these duplicate files should be removed.

Is there a comparison tool to ensure they are duplicates (before I delete them) ?

Desktop cannot sync b/c there are large number of empty folders which I removed unsuccessfully. I will move files from Desktop to Documents. ② Desktop will remain unsync.

 

Sync to SharePoint Online says can't sync _w and _t but I don't see them

Thanks for your suggestion. Im using the built-in Sync icon in SharePoint Document folder. That maps the folder to your PC for File Explorer drag and drop. I just changed all the folder attributes to normal. I stepped out for lunch but will try moving
the folders again shortly.

 

SYNC CONTACTS - REMOVE DUPLICATES

I have the latest version of OVI on my PC which I use to SYNC CONTACTS. Problem is it DUPLICATES the contacts on my NOKIA 5230 even if I DELETE all the contacts listed on the PC OVI list. My understanding of SYNCing is that the PC and the NOKIA should have
the same information. Either the SYNC is not working or there is a setting somewhere that needs to be changed? MY NOKIA is showing over 500 contacts when it should be half. Manual deletions to remove all the duplicates is a long job and the SYNC process always
returns it back to over 500.

I have set my NIKA to save all contact to the Phone Memory (not the SIM). Any ideas of to avoid and remove the DUPLICATES
