  1. how to remove external usb hd from file explorer?

I am getting confused on which Hard drive is which when I am in file explorer. When viewing from "This PC>" I can see 14 icons in the right pane, but in left pane I can see duplicates of the hard drives, I am thinking that since the duplicates are External Hard Drives on USB3, they're viewable, but they're also viewable in "This PC".

If you look at the image below, the four drives circled at bottom are the external hard drives, and the circle above shows the same drives under "This PC", I checked the folder options and cannot find anything.

Yesterday I was trying to move some files and almost deleted a whole drive.

    Thanks

When trying to remove a phantom file from the "recent files" list I recieve the following error msg: the parameter is incorrect

Recently I transferred hundreds of files from a camera SD Memory card to an external hard drive. On occasion I used file directory to check the files on the SD card. Naturally the files were listed on the recent files list in Explorer. I was able to
remove all but one that has no file name but only an icon that looks like a sheet of paper with the corner folder over, maybe text file. When I click on remove I get the error msg that "The parameter is incorrect."

Any suggestions on how to remove this phantom file.

When I click on the option Take me to the file location, it takes me to the USB post which contains the SD card. But the card is empty since I had moved all of the files to the external hd.

  3. drag-and-drop Win10 system image folder

    Hi,

Yes, you can drag and drop the whole system image backup folder from one USB HD to another USB HD. However, you
cannot use it to restore your computer because there are files that might get corrupted during the file transfer. For possible resolution, we suggest you to
create another system image backup on a different external drive.

Let us know how it goes.
