    Hi, I've been typing using English, Chinese Simplified, which could also type Traditional Chinese and Japanese.Since I use an input method that is only available in Chinese Simplified, China, but live in Taiwan, is it possible to keep Chinese Traditional, Taiwan language pack installed while removing all of the input methods eg. Bopomofo?I've read this thread with similar question in Windows 10, but I cant find Language in Control Panel anymore in Windows 11.Thanks in advance!Best RegardsIan

    My name is Caio. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll be glad to help you today.

    These input methods can be appeared by accidentally clicking on them or editing texts in other language on a third-party app. You can remove these input methods by following the steps below

    > Click on the input methods icon (the menu you sent on the screenshot)

    > Click on Language preferences

    > On the screen that pops up, on Preferred languages you'll see all the input methods

    > Click on the language you want to remove and then click on
    Remove

    > Repeat the last step from each language you want to remove

    1803: Cannot change/remove input methods/languages?

    Hello everyone,

    I have 4 languages installed, but only want 2 of them as input methods (keyboard). In previous Windows 10 versions, there was a Language section in the Control Panel where input methods could be removed.

    This section has been removed in 1803, and there's "Advanced Keyboard settings" in Settings, but I cannot find anything useful there:

    If I go to Region & language, select a language then Options/Keyboard, the keyboard cannot be removed (greyed out):

    I know I can remove the languages entirely but this will also remove the text-to-speech files, which I want to keep and use. If I type "input methods" on the start menu, a "Change input methods" entry appears, probably a remnant from the previous version. An error will appear when clicked: Windows cannot find 'Microsoft.Language'.

    What an unnecessary mess...

    I understand the inconvenience caused.

    From the issue description, it looks like you have English Input downloaded and installed in the system. I suggest you to follow the steps below to remove the English input language and check if it helps.

    1. Press Windows key + R.

    2. Type control and press enter to open the control panel.

    3. Type language in the control panel search box and open it.

    4. If English is listed, double click on it and click "remove" under "input method".
