Windows 10: How To Remove Linux folder from windows

Hello, I installed the docker app in my Windows 11 and it installed so many other things, I have uninstalled the docker but the empty linux folder, WSL and WSL settings are still showing in my system I have tried removing them from the control panel and the app's settings but they are not visible there to uninstall. The WSL, WSL Settings and Windows subsystem for linux is showing in the App> Advanced app settings > App execution aliases and only on/off option is available there.

Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name


Suggestion:

1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
   x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
   NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.

I guess the next logical step would be to report on the performance you can get with SLI in Linux. That'd be my suggestion anyway.

 

Windows.Old Folder removed

Hi,

I did a space log of 14.5GB so would it be Save if I booted into Linux and remove the two Folders? Just wondering as I have everything backed up of course..
