Windows 10: How to remove Microsoft account from a new laptop without deleting Microsoft account from...

I bought a new laptop, started setting it up but found it had some problems. So I need to return/exchange the product. But before that how do I how to remove Microsoft account from the new laptop without deleting Microsoft account from my other laptops?

Change Microsoft Account Details in Administrator Account

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address. Attempts to delete account result in freeze.

I'm trying to remove a user account off a Toshiba laptop but each time I try to delete the account, the User Accounts thingy freezes. Any ideas on how to delete the account?
