Windows 10: How to remove microsoft logo with phone & computer picture stuck on my screen?

How to remove microsoft logo with phone & computer picture stuck on my screen? There is no phone linked to my laptop & I don't want to link a phone. I've copied a screenshot of the picture stuck on my screen but keep getting an error message when I try to paste it in this message. Running WIndows 11. Please help if you can!

Hi,

I followed your instructions as noted above, with one exception noted below:


1. The Lumia 800 has a non-removable battery (as far as I can tell), so I could not remove the battery as instructed.
2. i did the rest of the steps and left the phone alone. Zune has now been restoring the phone for 30 minutes. The phone is still on the Nokia logo, and Zune is on step 1 of 2 - restoring your phone - for the same 30 minutes.

I plan to leave it for the rest of the evening and see what happens.

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Edit - 4 hours later.

I did all suggested actions, and nothing happened.

I was getting a bit desperate and searching all over these fora for other options, and came upon a link to a YouTube video - (Search YouTube for lumia 800 screen replacement, or go here: ) that described how to
open a 800. With nothing to lose, I set about opening it up, keeping it plugged into the charger - fortunately, as it turned out. After undoing the screws, i was poking with the screwdriver to remove the screen - see the video, its well explained - and, the
phone mysteriously came to life, put out its startup sound, and all was well.

Charged it, updated it to 7.8 - took 3 update cycles, and now it is back in business.
Looks like a loose connection somewhere.

 

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

Hi Zack,

As per the description, it seems that your PC is stuck in a reboot loop and is unable to load onto the desktop.

I suggest that you perform Power Drain and check if you are able to access the PC. To do so follow the steps below

• Unplug the charger and remove the battery of your laptop, if using a desktop remove the power cord.
• Press and hold the Power button for 30sec
• Plug the charger/power cord and restart system

If the above does not work, I suggest that you perform Startup Repair via Windows Recovery Environment using Media Creation Tool. To do so, you will require to download the ISO from the link below and then create a tool.

in the above article for creating the tool

Once you have the installation media, follow the steps:

• 
  Start your computer from the installation media. Insert the disk or USB stick and restart your computer. If you see a message asking you to “Press any key to boot from DVD,” do so. If you don’t
  see the message, you might need to change the boot order in your computer's BIOS settings so that it first starts from the disk or USB. When you see the 'Install Windows' page, tap or click 'Repair your computer' link to start the Windows Recovery Environment.
  
• 
  In the Windows Recovery Environment, on the Choose an option screen, click
  'Troubleshoot'.
  
• 
  Click, Advanced Options and then click on
  'Startup Repair'.
  
• 
  After this complete the repair and see if you are able to boot in to your computer.
