Windows 10: How to remove or unlink Microsoft account from Windows 10

Dear brothers,

Please help me this situation: I'm working on a company using domain network. My co-worker is using a laptop running Windows 7 with Administrator account. One day, he upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10, and he signs in the laptop with his his Microsoft Account. Now, I want to join domain that laptop but I cannot reset the Administrator password because the system tell me I cannot do that.

I cannot find any option to remove the Microsoft account or something like that in Settings. I also cannot reset the password of Administrator because it seems the account we replaced by Microsoft account when he upgrade to the latest operation system. I want to reset the Administrator password because of security and more.

Please help me this case. I am so confuse with this. Thank you very much.

If you join a domain, Active Directory creates a new user account, it no longer uses the Microsoft Account. How to Join a Windows 10 PC to a Domain Leaving the old MS account will not affect the computer and cannot be logged into unless you Leave the Domain.
The Hidden Built in Administrator account is not Enabled. It is hidden so you don't mess with it and only use it if the user profile doesn't work. If you want to leave the Domain, after leaving, you can login with the Microsoft account again. To change the password of the the Built in Administrator account, You do not have to Enable the Hidden Admin, just Press CTRL+ALT+DEL choose Change Password, type in Administrator in the User field and leave the old Password blank type in new password. Or go to Start/Search and type lusmgr.msc, right click the lusrmgr results and Run As Administrator. Double Click the yellow User folder. Right click the Administrator account and choose Set Password

Once logged into the Domain, you can remove the MS account if you want.

I found that the Administrator account is not hidden. It was somehow merged with Microsoft account so I cannot set password when launch it from lusrmgr.msc. At the moment, I can join that computer to domain but I think we have to control everything from now.

I have to switch from Microsoft account to Local account because of two reason:

1. Prevent user from working with this account in the future, he is unruly man. He is not follow the company rules.
2. IT must control the Administrator password for future plan.

 

If the Administrator account is Not hidden as you say, then in the Login Window, there would be the Microsoft User Profile (which is an Admin account) and the Administrator account (the built in) both listed. If you do not see both logins, then the Admin account is not Enabled. You can also choose to Log Off, and it will show the Administrator login as well as the MS User login.
Go to Start/Search and type CMD, Right click the CMD results and Run As Administrator. In the Elevated Command Prompt type net user and press enter. This will show you all of the accounts on the computer. They should be Administrator (Built In, even though it is Hidden), DefaultAccount (in case the user profile can't load, it will load a default user profile), Guest, and the MS account the user created and any other users profiles, Microsoft or otherwise.
To remove the MS User Profile, Enable Hidden Admin, log out of MS user, and login as Administrator, here you can remove the MS profile, be sure to Hide the Admin account after you are done. To change the Built In Administrator password that you are logged into, just press CTRL+ALT+DEl and choose Change Password. If you have already joined the domain, you can login as the Domain Administrator and make these changes.
