Windows 10: How to remove $RIBBZ2H.exe virus from $Recycle.bin ?

Hey, i ended up with a virus on my laptop which i got from a USB flash drive yesterday, windows defender warned me about it and asked me to take actions in that matter, i even deleted some sort of a suspicious file that i copied from the USB flash drive, yet defender still shows a notification telling me that there is a threat, which happen to be located in C:/$Recycle.bin, tried to remove it with defender but i couldn't searched on my intern drive for the $Recycle.bin file to remove it manually while the hidden files option is checked yet its impossible to find, and when i use malwarebytes th

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

• Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
• Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
• Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.

Recycle Bin Corruption after Virus Removal

If your Recycle Bin is corrupted, you can face various problems when using it.
The Recycle Bin may not show the files that you may have been deleted from your File Explorer, or you may be unable to delete the files in the Recycle Bin – or even empty the Recycle Bin completely. At times you may even receive an Access Denied or a
Corrupt Recycle Bin error message.

Follow the below steps to start troubleshooting this:

• Press Windows key + X, in the program list select
  Command Prompt (Admin).
• At the Command Prompt, type the following line, and then press ENTER:
  rd /s c:\$recycle.bin
• When prompted to confirm the deletion, type Y, and press
  Enter to confirm.
• Close the command prompt window and restart the computer.

Note: The message "The directory is not empty" may display in the command window. Ignore this message as it is related to the creation of a new directory. The files are removed.

Method 1: Runs System File Checker.



SFC will help you scan your system files and to repair missing or corrupted system files.



Run the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe)



Method 2: Delete all permissions, corrupted recycle bin and reinstall recycle bin in Windows

• Go to Settings > Search for File Explorer Options > Click
  View Tab.
• Uncheck or unhide system protected operating files > Go to open each drive and you'll see the Recycle.bin folder and permissions with an additional recycle.bin;
• Delete all the permissions, all the recycle.bin(s) on each drive and then Restart Windows.

Method 3: Reinstall recycle bin in Windows

• Right-click on Desktop > Select Personalize;
• Click on Themes > Click Desktop Icon settings under Related Settings;
• Check Recycle Bin > Click Apply.
