Windows 10: how to remove some settings are managed by your organisation issue

I cannot edit my start menu. Many of settings have been disabled. How to remove how to remove some settings are managed by your organisation issue in Windows 10 Pro. Please guide me. Thanks...!!!

Try doing a repair install. A repair Install keeps everything and reinstalls Windows.

You could try using a system restore point, if you have any useful ones and have system restore enabled.

You also report problems with your start menu, which suggests you may have other issues.

Do you know how this happened?

 

one day when I was using the web, suddenly a message flashed, to connect your PC more secure, enforce these policies.
I clicked yes by mistake. since then I am having serious issues.

 

It's possible on that basis that your PC has been infected- by responding to such a prompt you could potentially have allowed anything access to your PC.

It will also not be possible to guess which policies have been changed- and that may well not be the only thing that has been affected.

Try the first idea in the document I attached, and also run an antivirus and antimalware scan - e.g. malwarebytes.

 

I have tried what you advised but it didn't worked for me.

 

Do you have any system restore points? (I guess you don't yet use disk imaging (an essential form of protection that lets you restore your PC to a prior working state fairly quickly without technical assistance - strongly recommended here).

As I said, unfortunately we don't know what's changed, as we don't know what you allowed on to your PC. Have you run an antivirus and malware check as I recommended?

I think, given this and that you also have start menu problems, here's what I suggest if you don't have restore points and don't use system or disk imaging (yet).
a. Do a thorough AV and malware check using a standard AV package and Malwarebytes.
b. Do an in-place upgrade repair install. Here are my notes on this excellent procedure:
Precede it with this in case sthg has happened to your file system:

From an admin command prompt
[Windows key + X, click command prompt (admin)]
chkdsk C: /F
Your PC will need to restart.
Make sure the result is clear or fixed.
Post back the result, which will be on the screen briefly.

An In-place upgrade repair install will fix many things, but not those where the settings are not changed by the procedure.

For this you need an installation medium with the same base build as you have installed.

This will refresh Windows, after the manner of a Windows installation.
- all/most associations will be unchanged
- all your programs will be left installed
- you will lose any custom fonts
- you will lose any customised system icons
- you may need to re-establish your Wi-Fi connection
- you will need to redo Windows updates subsequent to the build you have used for the repair install
- Windows.old will be created
- system restore will be turned off- you should turn it on again and I recommend you manually schedule a daily restore point.
- you will need to redo any language downloads including the display language if you changed that)
- inactive title bar colouring (if used) will be reset to default
- if Qttabbar is installed, you need to re-enable it in explorer (Options, check Qttabbar)
This is one of the better features of Win10: as each major build comes out, that's your updated reference build, and as updates are mostly cumulative, there will be few to do.

Recommendation:
Before you perform this major repair procedure, do create a disk image.

Please consider using disk imaging regularly. It's a brilliant way to
- preserve your system (and your sanity)
- back up your data
- restore your system to a previously working state in a relatively short time

Recommended: Macrium Reflect (free/commercial) + boot disk/device + large enough external storage medium.

 

I tried to refresh my PC as advised by you but it failed at 30 percent. Now I am able to log on into user account but mail, store etc. apps are not working. I cannot customise start menu. I cannot edit most of the settings. Right now I will perform SFC and CHKDSK and will provide you details. there are no restore points.
I had saved the install files when my PC was upgraded from earlier windows to windows 10. I had made bootable working ISo file from them. can I use that to repair my PC.

 

I am really scared if what I do on PC gets tracked, its very cruel.

 

Hi, your priority now is to make sure you have a backup of all personal data. Don't try any repairs or fixes until you've done that.

Is it more than 30 days since you upgraded to Win 10?
