That's why my laptops, work and personal, and always Intel throughout. Never any worries about support or finding drivers.

 

I believe that HP will not allow you to download Windows 10 drivers unless your computer came with Windows 10.

 

They update their driver offerings to be current, as long as the laptop is "supported". After that, they won't update, but then you get the drivers from the component manufacturers. Easy to do, no big deal.

HP cannot stop a person from downloading drivers from their website if you install 10 and it came with 7 or 8.

Windows 10 has been very good at installing the correct drivers with no issue. 7 on the other hand, you have to have the drivers to install.

 

Fafhrd, 10 has had zero issues in loading the proper drivers, unless it is something that was discontinued and the drivers for that chipset was pulled.

The Netbooks were really bad with 8, because the Intel Raid driver throws up BSOD's like no tomorrow.

The OP will have no issues making a ISO copy of 10 from Microsoft.com and installing if they do not want any of the theme stuff. Personally I would keep it, because there are a lot of concept drawings in them from when Lucas created the first three.
