  1. How to Remove System Attribute from Non-System Drive

First, I tried to create an System Image of my Windows 10 Desktop. I have tell you I'm Old School and have 4 Drive C: Windows (System), D: Programs, E: Data, F: Games.

When I tried to use Windows 10 , Backup and Restore (Windows 7). Create a system image. When I get to the Which drives do you want to include in the backup. I get my C: but I also get D: and F: as system Drives and they have a lot of data. so they won't fit on a 250gb SSD. The Blocks on screen are grayed out so you can't change them.

How to Use Bitlocker on Only Non System Drive and without TPM

I want to use Bitlocker on my Non System E Drive without TPM. I read somewhere to do the following for without TPM:

" Under Local Computer Policy navigate to Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Windows Components \ Bit Locker Drive Encryption \ Operating System Drives and double click on Require additional authentication at startup." and so on.

but I am confused because the above note is mentioning "Operating System Drives " wherein I want to turn on Bitlocker on Non System Drive.

Can we turn bitlocker "on" on Non System Drives without turning it "on" on System Drives and Can we turn it "on" on
a Single Folder instead of Drive.

    Please advise step by step.

    The extended attributes are inconsistent.

Windows keeps on telling me to scan drive for error and drive c has been repaired for several time upon windows requirement.

There's only that one message, the extendent attribute not consistent.

System file checker, recovery system, changing sound setting to no sound, resetting my administrator.

  4. How to Remove System Attribute from Non-System Drive

System Reserved partition is on my data drive

    Hi Greg,

I think everything worked. The system and active attributes are set on the c: drive. The system attribute has been removed from the d: drive. The only thing that I'm wondering about is that the active attribute is still set on the d: drive. Do I need
to remove it? In my researching this problem I read that you could do that with diskpart. Is it necessary?

    Thanks,

    Hank
