Windows 10: How to remove the main account from your laptop without deleting all files

My laptop is set up with my old employers account (not quite sure how this happened as this is my personal laptop but I did use it for work purposes). I would like to remove this account so that it's just under my own. I have tried going to settings to remove this account but I am unable to. It asks me to sign in with the password for the email but since I do not work there any more, I no longer have access to the password.


How do I switch this over to me personally without losing all of my saved photos?

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

I'm trying to remove a user account off a Toshiba laptop but each time I try to delete the account, the User Accounts thingy freezes. Any ideas on how to delete the account?

If you're running WIN, you best bet would be a 12 gauge . . . that'll take care of the problem.



Otherwise, try to remove the account in Safe mode.
