  1. How to remove the Microsoft child protection?

I've created an account for my 9y son, and it requested me to create one for myself so I did, now my son can't access Google Chrome, he needs permission from me I can't give him permission as I've downloaded the required app but it can't even link his account to mine , it's saying connected from his side but when I check from my account it's pending. NOW Microsoft is like a virus that doesn't go away ! I REGRET using his email to join!!! I just want to sign out his account but I can NOT even do that! I literally LOST my right of using my own laptop! Microsoft NEEDS to stop THIS !

    :)

Unable to remove child account from Family

Thanks Elise. Your suggestion worked. I contacted live chat option via "Get Help" app.

Just for others who read this in future I had performed the following steps to solve the issue.

    1. Log into Microsoft Family Safety
    2. Select 3 dots on the top right of child's card & select "Remove consent for this child's account"
    3. It then warns, "You are about to remove parental consent for this child. They will no longer have permissions to access certain Microsoft sites and services."
    4. Click on "Remove consent" button
    5. Go back to Microsoft Family Safety home page. Wait for few seconds for settings to reflect. The child account will disappear from family home page.

Manage my child's profile info does NOT show my kid

    Hello Jabka71,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Your child's account could be in a different region than yours. To comply with regional regulations around data protection, the child and the adult providing consent need to be in the same regulatory region. It might also be due
to the account is not configured in the right way. Kindly follow the steps mentioned below to reconfigure the feature.

    Step 1: Update your region.

    • Go to Your info on account.microsoft.com and sign in.
    • Select Edit country/region.
    • Update your country or region to match your child's, then make sure the other settings are up to date. Select Save to finish up.

Step 2: Remove a child and add a child to your family.

For additional information, you can go through the article which talks about
Parental consent and Microsoft child accounts and
Set up and manage your family.

    Hope it helps.

How to remove the Microsoft child protection?

    Removing child from family account

    Hello there. This is Emily.

Just want to make sure these are the steps you followed. When you log into the organizer's account (https://account.microsoft.com) and click on Family, do you see your child's account listed? If so, click on the three dots on the child's icon and click on "Manage consent". On the next page, remove the consent first, then you can proceed to remove the child account.
