Windows 10: How to remove this 'Favorites' icon from Explorer sidebar

Look, when I select Favorites, it lists 4 items on the right.But, when I select Home, the right Favorites lists nothing.I don't care if Favorites list anything at all. I just want to remove this Favorites icon from Explorer sidebar.It's weird, why put it under "This PC" and network volumes. Why not put it near Home, Gallery icons.

  Are you referring to Microsoft Edge Browser/internet Explorer favorite?
  

The favorite that you are referring is Edge or Internet Explorer browser, I would suggest to clear cookies and history or right-click on the list which you want to remove by selecting delete.

Follow the steps on how to clear cookies.

To view your browsing history, select Hub >
History. To delete it, select Clear all history, choose the types of data or files that you want to remove from your PC, then select
Clear.

Note: applicable to Edge browser.

For internet Explorer follow the steps below.

  Open Internet Explorer, Click on the favorite menu.
  
• 
  Choose “Organize favorite”, click on favorite you wish to delete.

• How are you trying to add the favorites to desktop?

I suggest you to try the below steps to save the favorites on desktop and check if it helps.

• Open the Internet Explorer and minimize the screen.
• Then go to the favorites tab and then drag any favorites that you have saved to the desktop.
• Once you get the favorites items \ folders then you can open the favorites and check if it is opening.
