Windows 10: How to remove three dots (...) if text is longer than taskbar width?

Hello! Been scratching my head over this space consuming thing. Is there a way just to not have the ... if the text is longer than the taskbar size? Is there a way to keep the text going without converting into ... , and then just stopping as the bar stops? I would rather have the text typed out as much as possible rather than having the dots. regards windows 10 version 1909 build 18363.1316

Smaller minimum width of taskbar in vertical orientation

Currently many people like to have the Windows 10 taskbar in vertical orientation on left or right side. But the minimum width is still limited to the 'large icon' size setting. I (& many people) prefer small icons, and *NO* text, but currently the minimum
width is still including the first 3 letters of text and a few dots. This means there's extra space that's being wasted, especially on lower resolution screens. In older windows versions there were registry changes that could do it. But so far after much research,
the only solution is using a hack from 7++ Taskbar Tweaker app that must run in the background all the time, and each new windows update breaks that app's functionality.

Please fix this simple design.

 

How to reduce width of the taskbar buttons?

This is in reference to this tutorial.

What I want to do is to reduce the width of the taskbar buttons even further...that is, even shorter width than what's shown as size 38 in that tutorial. I want the buttons in my taskbar to show their respective icons along with only 3-4 characters of text.

I remember that I accomplished this in my previous Windows installation (Windows 7 (64-bit)), using the same method as discussed in that tutorial with some value (which I can't recall). But somehow, I can't seem to make it happen in Windows 10.

Some of the values I've tried are: 10, 52,54, 55, 58 and a few more.

Please suggest a suitable value/method to make it happen in my Windows 10.

Hi Jim,

To be able to drag the taskbar and make it narrower the way you like it, please unlock it first.

To do it, here are the steps:

• Right click on the Taskbar and unlock it by unchecking the
  Lock all taskbars option.
  
  
• Drag the edge of the bar and arrange it according to your preference.
• Right click on the task bar and lock it again once done.
