Windows 10: How to remove Windows 8.1 from Windows 10 Machine?

How do I remove Windows 8.1 from a Windows 10 machine?


Here's what happened.

I had a HDD with Windows 8.1 running on it.

I added an SSD and upgraded to Windows 10.

Windows 8.1 remains on the HDD.

Now when I boot, I am asked which version of Windows to load.


I could delete the windows directory from the HDD.

But I think that will lead to boot issues, recovery issues, etc.


Is there a way to remove Windows 8.1 more gracefully?
