Windows 10: How to remove Windows apps folder

So I was moving my SSD to my new computer and was trying to set it to be the default save location on my new computer but due to the existence of the windows apps folder, I am unable to. I've deleted a lot of my previous documents and such trying to get it to work and this folder is the last thing I think is in my way. I've tried using admin to remove it or move it off of my SSD but I've had no luck. Is there a way I can get rid of it from my SSD without causing major problems?

You could use step 4 in Option 1 to add a new folder in the All Apps list, then add shortcuts into the new folder.

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

 

Split Steam app folder between 2 HDD?

As the title suggests I want to find out if there's a way I can split my steam app folder on to 2 drives, specifically an SSD that I will be putting my OS and most used games and apps and a regular HDD for everything else?
