How to remove Windows Boot Manager entry from one disk?

Hello. I have an Acer laptop with Nvme2 disk which I have windows installed on it. I have decided to add secondary 2,5" SSD Samsung EVO 860 and did it. This SSD was used in my previous laptop, it was a main disk, I had windows and all the files there. So before moving to a new laptop, I inserted a USB with windows iso in order to format this drive. Everything went well and I was happy. The drive works in the new laptop. However, whenever I try to boot my laptop, there is an error saying "preparing to repair..." and it redirects me to windows troubleshooting options. What I have found is that t

Multiboot menu has "Windows Boot Manager" entries that can't be remove

When I converted from MBR to GPT on my X299, it still shows the MBR install on the 970 Pro listed in the Boot Options, as well as the new Windows Boot Manager entry.

I`d like to remove any unneeded boot entries from the list in the Bios too.

Let me know if and how you removed it from the Boot Option list.

    Partition management

Or at the very least, make sure that your hard drive boot order is correct, because it will take the first writable drive in the boot list to determine where to put the boot loader. As Jester suggested, pop the Windows install disk in, make sure your boot order is correct (or unplug the drive,) and run repair. It's really that simple.

Disk management console view is not up-to-date

i dont know how to fix your disk management, but i can fix your partition problems...

open up Command Prompt with admin rights. (Right click, run as admin)

    enter in
    DISKPART
    list disk

then find the Disk number for your Raid array... lets call it number 7 ( you can tell what disk is what by the total size)
    type in

    Select Disk 7
List Partition (will give you a list of all the partitions..)
Select Partition 1 (im assuming you only have 1 partition on Disk 7) repeat this step if you have more partitions.
    ASSIGN

that should get the array up and running ready to use.

    EDITED.

    any problems, post back ^^
