Windows 10: How to remove X next Wifi SSID?

Hi All,I am trying to connect to an SSID, but unable to. There is an X near the icon that is preventing a connection. Other devices are able to connect to the same SSID without issue. I have tried Forgetting the SSID, and uninstalling the WiFI driver to no avail. Please is there anything that can be done to resolve this?Thanks, GPS - Tried attaching images but it keeps failing.

Nokia 920 and 820 will not connect to hidden SSID WiFi

Just removed any special characters we had XX_XXX removed the _ in the SSID. This is still causing problems. The SSID is all upper case but I'm assuming these are not classed as special characters. A little more research also suggests that HTC have
written a WiFi app for their WP8 applications - suggests they have found an error themselves too?

In that case, I would suggest you follow the below fixes one by one.

Fix #!

Step 1:

Open the Start Menu and click on Settings.

Step 2:

Click on Network and Internet.

Step 3:

Choose Wi-Fi from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

Step 4:

Click on Manage known networks.

Step 5:

Highlight the name of the network you want to forget (Make sure to find and delete the old SSID)

Step 6

Click on Forget.

Step 7:

Restart PC

Fix #2

Step 1

Right-click on the Start Menu and choose Device Manager.

Step 2

Expand the list below Network Adapters.

Step 3:

Right-click on your network adapter.

Step 4

Select Properties.

Step 5

Click on the Power Management tab.

Step 6

Unmark the checkbox next to Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

Let me know the status after performing the above.

SSIDs are delayed to showing when clicking the WIFI icon

Dear MS support team,

The pilot users for W11 have issues after updating the Wireless Driver

Computer model: ASUS/P5440FF

First issue switching from LAN to WIFI and the advised to update the Wireless adapter driver which were performed, and now has new issue with delayed showing the list of available SSIDs.

And once the SSIDs are showing and clicking again the WIFI icon to close it and click back it will show quickly but if you leaved it not clicking the WIFI icon will happen again the same issue it needs to wait for other user 40 seconds to show the available list of SSIDs.

I'd advised to roll back the Wireless adapter driver and waiting for the result.

Question: Is that possible also to install the W10 Wireless adapter driver dedicated for ASUS/P5440FF?

Kindly let me know what the next steps will I need to try to resolve the issue.
