    Hello,

my computer started to have this error message of "You'll need a new app to open this http" just a while ago. I was trying to fix my Microsoft Store apps because I haven't manage to install any Microsoft Store apps for years After I followed the steps I still haven't managed to be successful in doing so.

However the problem arose just suddenly after I tried doing the steps for fixing the Microsoft Store then installing some third-party free antivirus which promptly install their internet browser. I realized I had install the browser so uninstall it after that I restart the computer, then the error message popped up and I can't remove it. I tried doing the steps such as:
    1. Microsoft Apps troubleshooter
    2. Repair and Reset Microsoft Edge
    3. Manually re-install Microsoft Edge by way of Powershell
    But it proves unsuccessful.

Can anyone help me get out of this mess?

    :)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. How to remove "You'll need a new app to open this http" from screen :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

    Hey Shawn,
