    i have a new laptop dell with OS linux ubuntu, i have a windows 10 disc that came with it and i was wondering how can i install it? all i see online is about dual booting.

    Windows 10 subsystem for Linux, Ubuntu

    Can Ubuntu or Linux be run on Windows 10 subsystem in full mode such as running Hadoop, Hive, Java in Ubuntu subsystem of Windows 10? Or just the basic bash, sudo commands only?

    How do I get past Windows 10 security software so I can replace it with Linux Ubuntu because I can't stand Windows. If I have to I will have a new formatted hard drive put in the laptop but thought I would just replace windows 10 with Ubuntu if I could and
    save the cost of the new hard drive.
