    How to report a big in Notepad


    I recently purchased a new computer with Win11. The Notepad app seems to have a problem with the accented characters required to type in Spanish.I can type ONE accented character, such as á. But after that, no other accented character is accepted. The system doesn't accept the input at all.If I then close Notepad and reopen the file, I can type one more accented character and then the problem repeats.When this happened, I verified that the keyboard is working correctly by going into several other programs, including Word and Excel, and I'm able to enter unlimited accented characters.     I suggest you to follow the steps provided below:

    • Open Task Manager. Here’s a tip: press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
    • Click on Startup tab.
    • Select Notepad from the list and click on Disable.

    I followed your suggestion but wasn't able to find Notepad listed on the startup. There are some listed as program but don't know which ones it could be.

    Notepad on Windows 7\

    Suggestion would be uninstall then new install on Win7. Maybe an older version would work better? A list, maybe Version 7?
