    How to report a bug? - Improper graphics driver keeps being downloaded by Win11 24H2...


    Windows keeps forcing a driver update for my Ncvidia RTX3060 GPU that will then cause my system to crash with a BSOD 'CRITICAL_PROCESS_FAILED with no mini dump file created when it would happen. It took me like a month to figure out the root cause which i am 100% sure is a windows Nvidia driver labeled as 32.0.15.6094 see below.This driver shown above is not even the most current driver for the RTX3060 GPU, which is currently 572.16 per the Nvidia web site.Why does Windows 11 24H2 keep downloading and overriding the correct driver that i already have installed and how can this be stop

    Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    Windows Insider builds like version 24H2 can contain bugs and be unstable, that update was pulled for a couple of days because of bugs found in it, if this is only happening since you installed version 24H2, most likely it is because the graphics card manufacturers have not released drivers compatible with version 24H2 yet, it would be best to uninstall that build, and then report this bug on the Feedback Hub (Windows Key + F) so their developers can investigate this bug.

    I'm Independent Advisor not Microsoft employee or support person. But I'm in contact with Windows developers since 1995 - as a one of the best Windows beta-testers till 2009 when program was closed, as an MVP in 2005-2017 including Windows System & Performance
    nomination. So I have deep enough Windows knowledge and you may trust me. It's a pleasure for me to help others and I'll do all my best to help you.

    To report a bug one need to describe solid steps to reproduce it.

    In your case there may be bug in AMD drivers, bug in BIOS and less likely bug in Windows.

    However you may report this thru Feedback Hub in Start menu.

    To recover problem you may try to manually install Microsoft basic graphic driver and then reinstall AMD graphic driver from Dell site.
