Windows 10: How to reset PIN without access to recover email.

A coworker of mine recently reset her PIN on her computer. The change went through successfully, but when she attempted to log in this morning, neither her new or her old PIN worked. The profile she uses on the computer belongs to an old employee who has since left and we do not have access to his email to start the recovery process. What is the best way to go about regaining access to this computer as to not lose the information currently stored on the desktop?

Whenever you face corruption in your database files, you need to recover the your data and information from them. Forgotten PIN and expired password

Thanks for your answer.

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”
