    How to Reset Win 10 permissons


    I am having an issue with Win10 and a legacy Win 7 RIP. It seems when I installed Win 10 it changed permissions on some files and folders. All are visible in the Explorer view, but when I run the program and try to open files and save customizations the files/and or folders are hidden. If I switch users and open as Administrator almost all files and folders are visible.


    This program is not going to be changed/upgraded, and many Win 10 users have no issues.


    How to I reset permissions to view all?

    I finally managed to get around this step by using onboard vga, but it was weird as the resolution was the same but this step was skipped. Maybe because of many hard resets and kicks...

    Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it
