    How to resize the Address Bar focus in Firefox build 75


    Hi all -

    In Firefox 75 additional "focus" was placed on the Address Bar, so when you click on it, the box expands.
    I have found this very annoying and researched the problem, so that it can be reversed.

    Just follow these steps:

    1) Type about:config in the browser's address bar.
    2) Confirm at the prompt that you will accept the risk and to view all.
    3) Search for the following configuration preferences and set them all to FALSE (go slow):

    browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus
    browser.urlbar.update1
    browser.urlbar.update1.interventions
    browser.urlbar.update1.searchTips
    browser.urlbar.update1.view.stripHttps

    4) Restart Firefox 75 and check.

    The address bar should now stay the same size (as per previews releases) when you mouse click in it (focus).

    With a brand new and previously unused Profile I do see suggestions for R, but only built-in generic Mozilla ones.

    Firefox Address Bar Suggestions

    I get no suggestions at all. I untick all those options under Address bar as well as the ones under Search. And set Firefox to delete history using custom settings for history. Never see any suggestion of any kind. So, you can get that done if thats what you want.
