Windows 10: How to resolve "Error 2894.Info 2894.Loading RICHED20.DLL failed. GetLastError returned: 5"?

I am trying to update the program NVivo version 12.0.0.71 Edition Pro to the latest version, 12.6.1. The update has been downloaded and is ready to be installed. However, upon clicking "Install Now" I get the message "Error 2894.Info 2894.Loading RICHED20.DLL failed. GetLastError returned: 5"The reason I am trying to install the update is NVivo stopped functioning for me this morning 05.01.23l, by crashing down when I executed tasks I had been working with without an issue at the end of December. I re-installed the program and it kept crashing down and so I am now trying to update it to se

error 2894 help!

I've tried multiple ways to fix my error 2894 but none have worked, I don't want to fresh install due to me not having a disc or usb to fresh install it. I can't install certain programs. what do i do?

would it expect an error?

anyway, I cannot instyall any version of quicktime 7 into the latest release of windows 10 (1024xx)

the problem began in Premier when video disappeared from my sequence, when I attempted to import a file that had been working on earlier versions of windows 10, it said video was not available. the file however worked ok opening in quicktime player (that
had been installed and remained during the windows updates. To remedy, I tried uninstalling quicktime, rebooting and re installing ... could not reinstall. the error is as described. I was able to install iTunes without issue (something others have had some
difficulty with) but I MUST have quicktime... please help.

I executed commands one by one this time, waiting for one to complete before running the following, and I didn't get anymore the "MSVCR71.dll was not found" error...

In any case, these are the msvc dll versions:

msvcr71.dll 7.10.3052.4

I also tried to execute again the first (ole32.dll) at the end, and it succeeded.

It took about 20-30 seconds for each regsrv32 command to complete, either with success or not, also witout any dll given. Is that normal?
