  2. Windows 11 multiple display connection failure due to HDCP Restrictions.

    Hi Chandana Gurunath Rao,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Here are a few suggestions to help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Update Display Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest display drivers installed for your Acer laptop. Visit the Acer support website or the website of the graphics card manufacturer (e.g., Intel or NVIDIA) to download and install the most up-to-date drivers compatible with Windows 11.
    2. Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your USB-C to Dual HDMI Adapter. Visit the manufacturer's website for the adapter and download any available firmware updates. Updating the firmware may help resolve compatibility issues.
    3. Disable HDCP: Temporarily disabling HDCP might help determine if it's causing the issue. To do this, follow these steps:
      • Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings."
      • Scroll down to the "Advanced display settings" section and click on "Display adapter properties for Display X" (where X represents the secondary display).
      • In the properties window, navigate to the "Monitor" tab.
      • Uncheck the box that says "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display."
      • Click "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.
      • Repeat these steps for each secondary display.
Disabling HDCP may allow you to browse websites without the secondary displays turning off. However, keep in mind that HDCP is an important content protection feature, and disabling it may prevent you from accessing certain content that requires HDCP.
    4. Check USB-C Adapter Compatibility: Verify that the USB-C to Dual HDMI Adapter you're using is compatible with Windows 11 and supports HDCP. Check the manufacturer's website or contact their support for any known compatibility issues or firmware updates specific to Windows 11.
    5. Contact Support: If the issue persists, it's recommended to reach out to the support channels of both Acer and the manufacturer of the USB-C adapter. They can provide more specific guidance or potential solutions based on your laptop model and the adapter you're using.
It's worth noting that compatibility issues can sometimes arise due to a combination of hardware, drivers, and software updates. Hopefully, one of these suggestions will help you resolve the issue or at least narrow down the potential causes.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

    Kind regards,

  3. Vudu HDCP error #3342

    Hi,

HDCP stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. HDCP has been placed to protect digital copyrighted content as it travels from one device to another. To resolve your concern, we strongly suggest that you contact the support
team of the streaming website where you’ve downloaded those movies.

If you have other queries, feel free to ask us.

  4. How to resolve the HDCP issue?

hdcp issues since upgrade to windows 10

I cannot say if this will help everyone who has this issue but it worked for me. Windows 10 installed the incorrect drivers for my Intel HD Graphic 4600. I also have an Nvidia GeForce GT 740M using driver
359.00. I found that it was not the reason HDCP was no longer working.

I did the following to fix the issue.

First I manually downloaded the correct Intel HD Graphic 4600 driver using the link below. This is the link for my Intel driver. Even there own driver utility did not get the correct driver for my graphics card. That is why I downloaded it manually.

    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25489/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-

I would suggest you to uninstall Intel VGA driver by steps provided in the link below. I followed the Device Manager instructions.

    http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034574.htm

    Restart Windows.

Then install the Intel Driver you downloaded.

Restart Windows and my HDCP issues went away. Hope this helps.
