Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

    • Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
    • Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
      • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
      • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
      • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
    • The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

    CVE-2023-38545 cURL vulnerability

    Hello!

    I have a lot of workstations affected by this that are being classified as vulnerable by Tenable. All of these have cURL onboard pre-installed on the machines. I see this means we have to wait for Microsoft to release an update. Can someone please provide any idea as to when that might be so we can provide a timeline to vulnerability management stakeholders for compliance?

    Nessus found a vulnerability with curl. It looks like Windows 10 and Windows 11 use version 8.0.1 which is vulnerable. (Curl Arbitrary File Write 7.x >= 7.84.0 / 8.x <= 8.1.2 (CVE-2023-32001))

    Does Microsoft plan to release a patch?
